Job Vacancy: Education Programme Coordinator

Creative Coding Utrecht (CCU) is looking for an Education Programme Coordinator for 16 hours per week. The application deadline is 18 November.

Creative Coding Utrecht (CCU)

CCU is the platform for digital creativity. We support creators, connect organisations and sectors, inspire audiences, and share knowledge with hobbyists and IT professionals. Our values are rooted in exploration, critical thinking, collaboration, transparency, hands-on work, and inclusivity.

Since summer 2024, CCU has grouped its youth activities under the programme line Piece of Code. Through Piece of Code, we aim to make our workshops and events more accessible to young people. We do this by providing clear content in Dutch and offering activities in secondary schools, vocational colleges, and through partners such as libraries and festivals, including Night of the Nerds and VONK Festival.

Job Description

As Education Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for the further development, coordination, and implementation of CCU’s educational programmes. This role involves planning educational projects and producing workshops and presentations. You will work closely with curators, artists, and maintain relationships with partners—such as educational institutions, art academies, youth organisations, and international partners. Your role is essential in increasing engagement among diverse groups, including children, young people, creators, and educators, and in strengthening CCU’s position as an educational platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and implementing educational activities, such as workshops and development programmes
  • Planning and producing community activities, meetups, workshops, and similar events
  • Maintaining and expanding a network of cultural, educational, and academic contacts
  • Actively contributing to the content development of educational projects
  • Using project management software and online tools to monitor activities, track milestones, objectives, and overall progress
  • Assisting in budget preparation and management, as well as periodically reporting on quantitative and qualitative project results

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of work experience in the education or cultural sector, with an affinity for educational audiences, including children and young people
  • Enthusiasm for arts education and a strong motivation to elevate it to the next level within CCU
  • Strong organisational skills and experience in project management
  • Interest in creating an inspiring and safe learning environment for all participants
  • Excellent communication and written skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to collaborate with an international team
  • A passion for contemporary art, digital culture, or arts education is an advantage

Our Offer

  • A challenging and independent role in a small, ambitious team
  • Working with inspiring artists and curators in a unique setting at the Hof van Cartesius
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home
  • Compensation based on the guidelines of De Zaak Nu

Can you already see yourself in this role? Or do you have any questions? Send an email with your questions or a short introduction about yourself, your CV, and a brief motivation letter to Werner de Valk (wdv@creativecodingutrecht.nl).
