At Creative Coding Utrecht we organise a range of monthly events that cater to different interests, age groups and skill level. We aim to help you develop your connection with all things coding, no matter how foreign the subject might seem to you.
Have no idea what Creative Coding means? Have a background in programming but you wouldn’t know where to start making your own, creative stuff? Or do you simply want to enhance your pre-existing skills and create even more flashy visuals, animations and more?

Workshop Textile Touch to Tones
In this workshop, you’ll get hands-on with textiles, thread, and tools to create a wearable instrument: a Bluetooth MIDI controller! Using conductive fabrics and smart textile techniques, you’ll craft your own touch sensors that respond to your movements. You’ll then connect them to the Textile Touch to Tones converter, a device developed by Michelle Vossen. This little tool links your creation wirelessly to your phone and apps like Garageband. Turn a jacket or a pair of pants into a keyboard and let your fabric literally make music!
Note: The Textile Touch to Tones converter used during the workshop is not to take home. One device will remain available at the Zeepfabriek for further experimentation. Want to keep creating at home? You can purchase your own converter.
For anyone curious about interactive clothing, sound, and tech. No experience needed, you’ll learn everything step by step 😊
