Calendar
At Creative Coding Utrecht we organise a range of monthly events that cater to different interests, age groups and skill level. We aim to help you develop your connection with all things coding, no matter how foreign the subject might seem to you.
Have no idea what Creative Coding means? Have a background in programming but you wouldn’t know where to start making your own, creative stuff? Or do you simply want to enhance your pre-existing skills and create even more flashy visuals, animations and more?
Filter our events by topic and accessibility level, there is something for everyone. To look up any of our past events, check out the archive.
Klankdiner
Take a seat at our table, where sound, food and technology come together in an immersive dining experience unlike any you’ve had before. The Klankdiner invites you to rediscover food, not just as nourishment, but as a sensory encounter that listens, responds and connects.
This edition of the Klankdiner is rooted in Ground, our ongoing artistic research project exploring how we relate to the living world around us through touch, sound and shared rituals. During the dinner, we reflect on the origins of our food, honouring the earth not merely as a source, but as a living partner we engage with through taste, sound and attention. Food, liquids and tableware come alive through sound and movement, inviting you into a more-than-human symphony where everything around you becomes part of the experience.
The artist duo Fedde & de Carvalho, together with food artist Alice Héron, create an environment where different forms of life meet and guests are invited to eat, feel and listen together. You’ll be served a vegetarian five-course meal in an ever-changing soundscape, where technology doesn’t dominate but gently supports new connections. Through caring rituals and moments of togetherness, eating becomes a ceremony centred not on consumption, but on reciprocity and gratitude.
The Klankdiner is part of Ground’s wider exploration: how can we attune ourselves to the life force of earth, food and other beings? How might technology become a connector rather than a controller? And how can dining together turn into a collective act of feeling, caring and being?
Come and discover through experience.
